Part I: Detroit: What Time Is It In Detroit? Part II: Traverse City Film Festival

Date: Wednesday, July 23, 2014 to Tuesday, August 5, 2014

Week I: What Time is it in Detroit?

There is a palpable electricity in Detroit about this moment and place that we should witness — experience — contribute to — share!

This midwestern outpost, this bursting city that was the engine of our 20th century economy, is now plagued with blight, de-population, loss of jobs, and a bankrupt city. HOWEVER, The people of Detroit are seizing this as opportunity to reinvent work, lifestyle, and community.

Week II: Traverse City Film Festival

We’ll venture to this quaint community on the banks of Lake Michigan. Traverse City is the host for a thriving and respected, though still small, documentary film festival – TCFF is the brainchild and labor of love of Michael Moore. We’ll become part of the behind-the-scenes team that makes this event happen, while enjoying the final days of our trip at this loved vacation spot.
