These questions are becoming more essential in this moment of escape and\u00a0 distraction and the designed &#8216;attention economy&#8217;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>How do we make sense of<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0a culture that is running at an unsustainable pace in the pursuit to devour ever-more. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">This trip and project will explore the deep, knotted questions about how to be\u00a0 human in this moment.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will begin by\u00a0 learning from people in Vermont who have struggled with finding a self-determined healthy use with substances. We will learn from them how societal and personal circumstances have contributed to their relationship to substance, and explore the ways in which they have been able to transform their experience of problematic use of substances and\/or behaviors, into an experience of recovery. We will be using this as a frame, a way to explore how we each might learn to find a balanced way through the inevitable struggles of life experience.
