Bayous Of Louisiana - Why Are These Lands Rapidly Sinking Into The Gulf Of Mexico?

Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2015 to Tuesday, June 30, 2015

An hour south of New Orleans, along the Gulf coast, the bayous are sinking into the water, being lost forever at an astonishing rate of “a football field every hour” – the most dramatic loss on Earth.

We are heading down to these abundant wetlands to talk to and learn from the Creole communities who have lived alongside and from this unique landscape for centuries.

Of course, we will also experience and absorb the amazing vibe of the great city of New Orleans!

Cost: $1800

Application Deadline: May 1, 2015

Partners: Bridge the Gulf, BTNEP, Bayou Grace
