Spring, 2020 – Spring, 2021

A project with 7 VT high school and college students, we called ‘The Aquarium’. This crew met bi-weekly on zoom during the lock-down of Spring, 2020, to have conversations with community leaders in Vermont and around the country to help us explore ‘the water we’re swimming in’; this is a reference to David Foster Wallace’s graduation speech, ‘This is Water’ given in 2005.  Specifically, these conversations were giving space to learn what cultural and personal stories need to be reckoned with, if we want to shape a more just community.
